'The Collector' bed-and-breakfast is located in the cultural heart of Amsterdam, 150 meters from the Concertgebouw, near museums, the Vondelpark and night life.

'The Collector', in a large house dating from 1914, has well-appointed rooms, each with its own character, in the style of the 20's. Your host Karel Poels is an active collector, who can tell about his different collections with lots of enthousiasm. The decoration of his house, including the guestrooms, has been inspired by his collections.

The Collector offers:

Location

In the heart of the museum area
The Collector is located just behind the famous Concertgebouw. To the Rijksmuseum, the Vincent van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk museum it is a five minute walk. The city centre is also on walking distance.

To and from Amsterdam
From Schiphol Airport to the centre of Amsterdam is 18 km. By taxi it costs €. 35 tot get to the Collector.

Train
To get to the centre of the city from Schiphol Airport, you can take a train from Schiphol Station. Take a train to Amsterdam Central Station (CS). It takes less than twenty minutes. The fare of a one way ticket is € 3. From the station tram 16 brings you to the Collector. De stop "Jacob Obrechtstraat"is fifty metres from the Collector.

By Car

take exit S108 form the Ring of Amsterdam (A10)

at the end of the exit go to the right

go straight on

at the end to the right and to the left right after

at the round square take the second to the right

after the third traffic lights it's on the left side
